The TE7720 is a FPGA-FLASH serial configuration ASIC.
Functionality
The TE7720 performs configuration of the FPGA via Flash memory by controlling them both.
Flash Memory Control
Flash memory control is carried out via JTAG. Configuration data can be saved to and deleted from the memory area determined by the configuration of the TE7720's internal registers and external terminals.
FPGA configuration
At the time of configuration, the TE7720 reads the configuration data saved in Flash memory and uses it to program the FPGA.
